Key highlights in H1 2016
Juneyao Airlines (including 9 Air Co., Ltd.)
1. The number of passengers carried reached 6.2613 million, an increase of 27.56% over the previous year, with domestic routes accounted for 5.5037 million, up 26.3%; regional routes 136,100, an increase of 0.89%, and international routes 821,800, up 43.05%.
2. Passenger load factor reached 86.09% overall; 87.01% load factor for domestic routes 77.88% for regional routes and 82.99% for international routes.
3. The carrier operated 1,556 regular flights every week on 109 routes covering 84 cities.
4. Operating revenue rose 23.66% to RMB 4.7512 billion while operating expenses increased 27.88% to RMB 35.559 billion. Revenue from passenger services was up 23.34% to RMB 4.635 billion while passenger service expenses was RMB 3.474 billion, a YoY increase of 27.59%. Gross profit margin was 25.05%, down 2.5%. Revenue from cargo services was RMB 71.65 million, a YoY increase of 12.96%.
5. Passenger services contributed 98% of the carrier’s main business.

1. Juneyao Airlines offered RMB 190 million in subsidy to 9 Air.
2. The revenue of 9 Air was RMB 411 million.
3. 9 Air received RMB 1 million in subsidy from the government.
4. The net profit of 9 Air was RMB 3.451 million.
5. 9 Air has been operating in the black since January, 2015.
