Immfly, which has a reach of over 65 million customers with its current airline customers, already covers more than 50 destinations on the Asian continent, ranging from Western Asia all the way to SouthEast Asia & the Pacific. The Digital Connected Services and IFE company sees its move into Asia as a natural next step.
Immfly has begun recruiting locally, already contracting personnel established in Hong Kong. Local presence will enable Immfly to better serve aviation customers in the region.
Immfly’s digital services platform enables airlines to maximize revenues and efficiencies while also enabling their customers to enjoy a best in class IFE system.
Immfly’s connected digital services focus on facilitating operational processes to reduce airline costs with digital services that simplify and accelerate tasks. The company has delivered platforms with tool kits which optimise ancillary revenue opportunities. Immfly’s IFE enables passengers to use their own smart personal devices instead of heavy, costly seat back systems, to enjoy premium curated content and services.
Immfly’s technology is available for all aircraft, irrespective of the airline’s investment in on board internet connectivity. The service does not rely on an external internet connection. Dynamic content management is paired with unique tools to benefit airlines with enhanced passenger experience, smarter operations, and potent new revenue streams.
Passengers can choose from a rich selection of best-selling movies, tv-shows, press & magazines, music, kids content, interactive maps, digital retail catalogues, and much more.
With Immfly, airline passengers can also access a range of services and valuable information during their flight including a 3D moving map, digitized retail catalogues, travel guides and offersfor destinations activities.
Immfly has also closely collaborated with the Japanese global internet and e-commerce giant Rakuten. In a high profile trial with easyJet, one of Europe’s largest airlines, Immfly together with Rakuten as Official Entertainment Sponsor, launched an in-flight entertainment platform which replicated the way the airline’s customers consumed their media at home. The collaboration resulted in “a 22 percentage point improvement in customer satisfaction for customers using the platform versus easyJet’s network average” as confirmed by easyJet.
Together with partners Rakuten TV and FOX, Immfly was the first company in the world covering and ensuring 100% security and protection of major studios’ onboard content accessed through web browsers. The groundbreaking web-based DRM technology in Android systems (Widevine) and in IOS systems (Fairplay), allows the protection of content from being stolen or copied.
Paloma Cabañas, Head of Customer Experience and Inflight Services in Iberia Express confirms “We strive to offer an exclusive travel experience to our passengers throughout the entire customer journey, and it is a proven fact that the Inflight entertainment platform provided by Immfly, is a key contributor to our success.”
Jimmy Martinez, Co-founder of Immfly points out “It is clear Immfly can actively support Asian aviation customers as they look to benefit from a competitive edge with innovative operational solutions and profitable IFE strategies. Establishing a local presence in Asia is part of our strategy as we expand and develop our relationships in key markets.”
