Skyscanner recently announced that China Southern Airlines has joined its direct booking platform through an NDC (new distribution capability) cooperation. Travelers from the United States, Australia and New Zealand will be able to directly book China Southern flights on Skyscanner’s website or App without having to redirect to the airline’s website.
China Southern Airlines is the first Chinese carrier to join an overseas NDC direct sales channel. Leveraging Skyscanner’s global market presence, the partnership will enhance China Southern’s overseas brand perception. It will also bring more convenience to Skyscanner’s hundred-million-plus monthly active users.
Skyscanner is the first travel-oriented search engine to join the NDC Exchange, a platform that enables API connectivity between airlines and travel sellers and facilitates comparison search, booking and servicing workflows. As the first global travel metasearch platform to be IATA NDC Level 3 certified, Skyscanner has collaborated with airlines to provide global travelers with optimized direct booking experiences, among them British Airways, Finnair, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Vueling Airlines and Scoot.(Translated by Elena)
