During the year, China invested a total of 17.7 billion yuan (USD 2.5 billion) in 85 international culture and tourism collaborations under the Belt and Road initiative. The projects, in the areas of digital culture, tourism performing art, cultural and tourism facilities, were scattered across 20 countries and regions.
In terms of public facilities for cultural tourism, 22,300 new toilets at tourism attractions have been constructed so far this year-17% more than this year’s target.
