TravelDaily China in collaboration with WiT – Web in Travel, will stage a China Arising forum on March 30 in Singapore to share first-hand insights into how the Chinese online travel landscape has changed in the years since the pandemic first took hold.

Powered by Accor, the region’s leading hospitality operator, the event will field a blend of speakers from China as well as those from outside the mainland to share their insights and perspectives on the new trends influencing the Chinese digital traveler.
Confirmed speakers to date include Boon Sian Chai, Managing Director and Vice President, International Markets, Trip.com Group; Dangxing Chu, Head of International Vacation Business, Fliggy; Juliana Kua, Assistant CEO, International Group, Singapore Tourism Board; Kerry Healy, Chief Commercial Officer, Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Asia-Pacific, Premium, Midscale & Economy, Accor; Calvin Chan, Chief Commercial Officer of Scoot; Jesse Shen, CEO of SMART ORDER.
The event is also supported by our partners including SMART ORDER, Fliggy, DerbySoft, XIE ZHU TECHNOLOGY and KEYFRAME.
Yeoh Siew Hoon, founder of WiT, said, “We’re at the beginning of China’s travel recovery. And while there are still some uncertainties around what this looks like, what is certain is that this is a market of consequence and no one can afford to ignore it.
“What will be even harder to ignore is the scale of change that’s taken place in the travel technology space. China has always been ahead in travel tech – from mobile to social, e-commerce, payments, digitalization of businesses – and it will be fascinating to hear first-hand from travel tech leaders on what’s changed and the new trends influencing the Chinese digital traveler.”
Charlie Li, founder of TravelDaily China, said, “After three years of pandemic, we are pleased to see China’s travel industry is finally back to the cycle of full recovery. The business environment of China and the world is also facing significant challenges. To help the international travel community to better understand the digital-savvy Chinese travelers and the changes happened in China’s travel ecosystem are the main purpose of this event.”
Kerry Healy said, “Our team at Accor are delighted to partner with WiT and Travel Daily China to host this forum around the Chinese online travel landscape. China has always been a key source market for our network in Southeast Asia and we have focused on a number of initiatives to drive demand from this market. We look forward to some great discussion with our peers and experts across the industry.”
