Chinese lifestyle hotel group Atour reported that its net revenues for the second quarter of 2023 increased by 112.3% year-over-year to RMB 1,093 million (USD 151 million).
Net income for the quarter was RMB 239 million (USD 33 million), compared with RMB 60 million for the same period of 2022.
As of June 30, 2023, there were 1,034 hotels with a total of 120,404 hotel rooms in operation across Atour’s hotel network, representing a rapid increase of 24.0% and 24.2% year-over-year in terms of the number of hotels and hotel rooms, respectively. As of June 30, 2023, there were 523 manachised hotels under development in pipeline.
The revenue per available room (RevPAR) was RMB 384 for the second quarter, recovering to 114.8% of 2019’s level for the same period.
Revenues from retail and others for the second quarter of 2023 increased by 222.2% to RMB 247 million (USD 34 million) from RMB 77 million for the same period of 2022, with scenario-based retail revenues growing by 297.8% year-over-year to RMB 212 million.
