Jetstar Asia unveils second China route: Singapore-Wuxi
>> Jetstar Asia has announced a new direct service between Singapore's Changi Airport and Wuxi's Sunan Shuofang International Airport, launching on 28 December 2023, just in time for the new year peak. The only airline to operate this direct service, the Singapore low-cost airline is expecting to fly more than 70,000 customers each year between the two destinations, initially operating two weekly return services on the Airbus A320, increasing to four weekly services from 15 January 2024.
Vietnam, China resume self-driving tours along frontier
>> Vietnam and China are set to resume their self-driving tours at border areas beginning late this month after more than three years of suspension due to Covid. Starting October 30, Vietnamese tourists will be allowed drive their cars through the Mong Cai border gate in the northern province of Quang Ninh to reach Nanning City in China, while Chinese visitors will be able to drive to Ha Long in Vietnam.
Cathay Pacific cancels Tel Aviv flights on Tuesday over Hamas attack in Israel
>> Cathay Pacific Airways said on Monday that it was canceling its flights CX675 from Hong Kong to Tel Aviv, and CX676 from Tel Aviv to Hong Kong on Tuesday. Same as Cathay, several international air carriers have also suspended flight services with Tel Aviv in light of the Hamas militant attack on Israel, saying they were waiting for safety conditions to improve before resuming.
