Chinese airlines plan new US flights for Summer
The US approved increased frequency for China-US flights in late February, allowing Chinese passenger airlines to boost their weekly round-trip flights to 50 starting on March 31. The Chinese airlines have outlined plans to increase their flight operations to the US for Summer 2024. Details are as follows:
Air China: Plans to increase its U.S. flights from 11 to 14 weekly, including two additional flights between Beijing Capital and Los Angeles, and one additional flight between Beijing and New York JFK.
China Southern: Intends to boost its schedule to ten weekly flights, adding a new weekly flight between Guangzhou and Los Angeles, and adjusting other routes.
Hainan Airlines: Aims to operate six weekly flights, reinstating popular routes and adding a new connection between Chongqing, China, and Seattle.
Xiamen Airlines: Plans to expand its Xiamen to Los Angeles flight to five times weekly and introduce flights between Fuzhou and New York JFK twice a week.
Sichuan Airlines: Proposes to add a third weekly flight on its Chengdu to Los Angeles route.
China Eastern: Has yet to file its application but is expected to add flights, currently operating nine flights between China and the U.S.
