Tongcheng Travel, a Hong Kong-listed online travel company jointly invested by Tencent and Trip.com Group, said its revenue increased by 109.6% year-to-year to RMB3,145 million in the fourth quarter of 2023 from RMB1,500 million in the same period of 2022.
Average monthly paying users (MPUs) increased by 54.3% year-to-year from 24.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2022 to 37.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2023.
In the full year, revenue increased by 80.7% year-to-year to RMB11,896 million in 2023 from RMB6,585 million in 2022. Average MPUs increased by 39.1% year-to-year from 29.7 million in 2022 to 41.3 million in 2023.
Annual paying subscribers reached 235 million, an increase of 25.2% year-on-year and 54% compared to 2019, again reaching a record high.
Tongcheng said that in the face of new market development opportunities at home and abroad, the company will continue to pay attention to technological change and actively carry out experiments, while serving the domestic mass consumer market, accelerate overseas expansion.
